  4.      In  the modem setup where you have a choice of modems.  Pick

  6. Hayes (smartmodem) 2400 or Hayes 2400 compatible. Set your  speed

  8. (2400)  and  XON/XOFF  flow control (or NONE). You  do  want  the

  10. software to follow connect speed.

  12.      Hayes V series modems have some proprietary commands (non  -

  14. CCITT) which will cause an error used with a Zoom / modems.

  16.      It is recommended that you use a non-existent COMport (3  or
  17.  
  18. 4), or REMOVE serial 2 rather than just disabling serial 2.
